Korol I Shut, which means "The King and the Jester" in English, is a Russian rock band formed in 1988. The band is known for its theatrical performances and lyrics that touch on topics such as love, politics, and history. One of their most popular songs is "Pryignu So Skalyi 6," which roughly translates to "I Will Jump Off the Cliff 6." The song is from their 2011 album of the same name, which was their 16th studio album. The album was a tribute to Russian science fiction writer Kir Bulychev and his series of children's books about space adventures. "Pryignu So Skalyi 6" was inspired by one of the stories in the series, called "The Mystery of the Third Planet." In the story, the protagonists must jump off a cliff in order to save themselves from a dangerous situation. The lyrics of the song depict a similar scenario, with the singer proclaiming that he will jump off the cliff even if it means certain death. He sings, "I will jump off the cliff 6 / I will be beyond the horizon / I will see what others don't / Maybe I'll stay there forever." The lyrics can be interpreted as a metaphor for taking risks and following one's dreams, even if it means leaving behind what is comfortable and familiar. Overall, "Pryignu So Skalyi 6" is a powerful and thought-provoking song that showcases Korol I Shut's unique blend of rock music and theatrical performance. The band's dedication to storytelling and exploring meaningful themes has made them a beloved icon of Russian rock music.
